THE URGENT VOICE

VOCAL LIBERATION WORKSHOP

keywords: silence, space, listening, breathing, emission, body, resonance, exploration, improvisation, reflection, transformation

The workshop focuses on the extraordinary power of the voice: as a representation of the self, as a tool for personal investigation, as an expression of authenticity.

Through reflections, exercises, and group dynamics, we seek to identify biases, investigate and unlock potential, explore voice/body/mind relationships, play, improvise, and transform.

Loosely based on the Lichtenberger method, developed by singer and voice teacher Gisela Rohmert and ergonomics professor Dr. W. Rohmert at the University of Darmstadt in Germany in the early 1980s, the workshop attempts to lead participants to an act of liberation through a functional and effective reconnection with their own voice.

The workshop is aimed at singers, actors, and anyone interested in exploring the potential of their voice.
